My professional mission is to:

enlighten on the important financial issues of our time,

enrich through a greater understanding of money, and

enable greater control of money in one’s life.

By becoming enlightened, enriched, and enabled,

we can attain and maintain financial success

without sacrificing those things that money can’t buy.

He Began His Career by Teaching Careers Over Thirty-Five Years Ago.

Text Box: It was then that Mark first helped others prepare for the future. Mark left teaching to pursue a different profession, but he never stopped being a teacher. Despite a demanding schedule, he teaches financial management classes at his church, conducts boys and girls scout merit badge clinics, and speaks at high schools and colleges, including his alma maters. Mark freely shares his knowledge and experience to help others build a better future.
Text Box: Mark advocates lifelong learning. After completing his MBA in 1987, he earned the professional designations of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

In 1995, Mark started Marathon Financial Strategies, a financial planning organization that advocates planning “for the long run.” Marathon Financial Strategies is not a typical financial planning firm. The emphasis is on the client, not just the client’s assets, and success is measured by the client’s happiness, not just the client’s investment return.
Text Box: In recent years, Mark has turned to writing to reach a wider audience. His first book, 6,000,000 Minutes on the Clock, is a guide to finding the right career and making it meet all your expectations.
Text Box: When your first audiences are comprised of captive adolescents and the topics are externally imposed, speaking skills are forged quickly out of necessity.

In 2010, Mark was selected to be one of only seven CFP Ambassadors in the U.S. As a CFP Ambassador, Mark’s primary role is to communicate to consumers, through the media and local community organizations, the importance of personal financial planning and the need for a Certified Financial Planner professional.

Whether speaking to thousands at an investor’s conference, to hundreds at a financial planners seminar, or to dozens at a Rotary meeting, Mark’s combination of professional demeanor, relevant topic and polished delivery creates a connection with his audience. Ever the master teacher, Mark speaks to entertain, to inform, but most of all, to inspire.

Mark lives in Atlanta.  To discuss speaking, writing or client opportunities,

contact him at 770 985-0650, or at mark@mark-digiovanni.com

Text Box: Money Morons sheds light on the role of money and how we harm ourselves when it comes to money. There is also a wealth of practical information on what you can do to achieve financial success and happiness.
Text Box: Individuals, acting on emotions of greed and fear, have destroyed more of their own fortunes than outsiders could ever hope to take. Whipsawed teaches us why we have these emotions and how they affect us. Most important, it shows how we can control these emotions, instead of being controlled by them.

Text Box: Despite all of our progress in many areas, we have regressed in financial wisdom to the brink of financial ruin. Pearls before Swine contains three-hundred pearls of wisdom, from Socrates to Groucho Marx, used as starting points and guideposts to lead us out of the financial mess we have created for ourselves in the 21st century.
